Internet governance between competition law and regulation

This talk discusses the ways in which competition law and regulation intersect in internet governance and on platform markets.

Abstract

This talk discusses the ways in which competition law and regulation intersect in internet governance, and considers the challenges and opportunities that arise from their concurrent application in Internet platform markets. It exemplifies this with recourse to various novel regulatory developments that have been taken by different, mostly European countries and at the European level, and discusses the potential future directions of internet governance in a rapidly changing technological and policy landscape.
